Port Days #3 & #4 ~ St. Lucia & Antigua

Halfway point of the cruise already?! Time goes by so fast when you’re enjoying yourself!

St. Lucia

Any good day starts off with breakfast on the balcony in paradise.

A gorgeous day to a take a party boat ride over to the Pitons, where we continued our journey by bus to a plantation for…ZIPLINING!

Pitons - St. Lucia

I was petrified at the thought originally, which is odd because I love rides AND heights. Chris, who is not a fan of heights, had no trouble, of course!

After some encouraging inner dialogue and being shamed by the much younger and older members of our party, I made my way through the course.

It got easier with every line we took – eight in all – through a scenic jungle course. We made our way back to the dock to catch the party boat back to the port, did some souvenir shopping and took in the local cuisine.

And beer…I earned this!

We decided to skip Celebrity’s “The Show” that night since we had seen it on the Solstice.  We also fell asleep the last time, but I digress – most people love the show! It was cocktail attire night, though, so we got gussied up for the MDR and then scurried over to the Martini Bar afterwards for some cocktails, all while heading to Antigua!

Again, another amazing day for weather in the Caribbean!  We went on a safari off-road ride through Antigua with an hour stop at the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen.  The stop wasn’t originally listed on our tour, so we weren’t really dressed appropriately, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying every second.

Much rum punch was consumed throughout our tour and some regional beer was had at lunch on shore.

There are so many more pictures from this tour. Check them all out here.

Needless to say we came back to the Celebrity Silhouette in a partying mood – it was vacation after all – and headed straight for the pool and Jacuzzi. We sobered up over tea time in our room in time to get ready for the show of the evening, which was a terrible comic (sorry, but it’s true!). Dinner at the MDR was, of course, delicious.  After that, we were pretty tuckered from a full day of fun, so we relaxed in our room while the ship sailed us towards St. Maarten.
